Session Fees

Coral Psychology aims to provide accessible, high-quality psychological support. Fees are set below the recommended rate outlined by the Australian Psychological Society and are reviewed periodically. Standard session (50 minutes): $220


Medicare Rebates

With a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from a GP or psychiatrist, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Rebate (Registered Psychologist): $93.35 per session Out-of-pocket cost: $126.65 per session Up to 10 sessions per calendar year Payment is required at the time of your appointment.

Medicare rebates can be processed electronically after your session, with funds typically returned to your nominated account within 1–2 business days.


Accessing Services

Self-Referral You are welcome to book directly without a referral if you are paying privately.


Private Health Insurance

If you have extras cover, you may be able to claim a rebate through your private health fund. Rebates vary depending on your provider, so it is recommended you contact your fund directly to confirm your entitlements.


NDIS

NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed are welcome. Please note that Coral Psychology is not a registered NDIS provider and is therefore unable to see NDIA-managed participants.


Telehealth

Telehealth appointments are available and offer a flexible option for accessing support in a familiar and comfortable environment. Sessions are adapted to suit the individual and may include practical and play-based approaches where appropriate.


Cancellation Policy

When an appointment is scheduled, that time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, the following applies: 48 hours’ notice: $50 cancellation fee Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance: Full session fee ($220) Consideration may be given in cases of illness or exceptional circumstances. However, late cancellations can prevent other clients from accessing support.
 
Payment is required on the day of your appointment
Medicare rebates are processed after payment
Referrals are not required for private appointments
