About me

How I work with you

I'm a registered psychologist with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. My background spans psychology, advocacy and extensive work with individuals, families and systems of care — and I bring all of that with me into every session.

My approach is collaborative and client-centred. I use structured assessment and formulation to understand what's really going on — the patterns, the history, the context — and from there, therapy becomes something purposeful and practical. I draw on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT and mindfulness, adapting what I use to fit the person in front of me, not the other way around.

"I place a strong emphasis on building therapeutic relationships, recognising that trust and connection are central to deeper work."

— Hebba Morcos

Something I've come to believe deeply over the years is that the quality of the relationship in the room matters as much as any technique. People change when they feel genuinely understood — not just heard, but actually seen. That's what I try to create.

I'm warm and direct. I'm not someone who sits quietly waiting for insight to emerge — I'm actively alongside you, thinking with you, and willing to name what I notice. Sessions are a mix of understanding and doing: making sense of what's happening, and then working out what to try differently.

I also bring my own lived experience of ADHD to this work. Being diagnosed later in life — after years of working harder than felt fair, masking, compensating and wondering why things felt so difficult — changed how I understand neurodiversity, both clinically and personally. I think that kind of inside knowledge is something you can't fully get from a textbook, and it shapes how I listen and what I look for.

Outside of work, I am drawn to nature — and especially to the ocean. There's something about the water that I return to again and again: its rhythm, its patience, the way it shapes the coastline not through force but through steady, persistent movement. I find that deeply true about human change as well. The sea doesn't rush. It shows up, it recedes, it comes back. Over time, something shifts.

The ocean also reminds me of renewal — the way each wave brings something new, the way light looks different on the surface every single morning. That sense of possibility, even after difficulty, is something I try to carry into my work. Change is rarely linear. But it's almost always possible.

About Coral Psychology

Growth takes time. Coral knows this.

A coral reef doesn't grow overnight. It builds slowly — polyp by polyp, layer by layer — sustained by the right conditions: warmth, stability, clean water, connection. Left undisturbed, it becomes something extraordinary. But it can't be rushed. It can only be supported.

This is the idea at the heart of Coral Psychology. Change in human beings works the same way. It isn't dramatic or sudden. It happens through consistent, careful work — through a relationship built on trust, through understanding that accumulates gradually, through strategies that are tried, refined and made your own over time.

"Like coral, meaningful change grows from the inside out — quietly, steadily, and in its own time."

The name Coral was chosen deliberately. It speaks to the ocean — to something Hebba returns to again and again in her own life as a source of calm, perspective and renewal. The water doesn't judge. It holds. It moves. And over time, with the right conditions, it shapes something beautiful.

That is what therapy at Coral Psychology is designed to be: a steady, supportive environment where you feel safe enough to explore, grow and eventually — at your own pace — change.

Compassionate Evidence-based Client-centred Collaborative Neuroaffirming Unhurried
Ocean -- the inspiration behind Coral Psychology

On connection

Coral grows in colonies — not in isolation. Each polyp is connected to the next, building something together that none could build alone. Therapy works the same way: it's the relationship that makes the work possible.

On time

Some reefs have been growing for thousands of years. There is no shortcut. Meaningful change in people takes the time it takes — and the goal of therapy is never to rush that, but to make the conditions right.

On renewal

The ocean renews itself constantly. Every tide brings something in and takes something out. Therapy, too, is a process of letting go of what no longer serves — and making space for what does.

On resilience

Coral has survived ice ages, mass extinctions and centuries of change. It is fragile and strong at once. People are the same — capable of remarkable resilience, given the right environment and enough time.
